These photos were kindly emailed to me out of the blue the other day. Some wildlife photographer must have got a bit bored with the usual animals on display. Just when you think the winter swells are over the east coast often throws a farewell show. "The May Tops" as the local fishermen say. The day in question was around mid June and the surf was absolutely pumping. It wasn't the cleanest of swells (but double overhead at times!) and if you manage to be in postion then a pretty solid wave was your reward. |
