| Recently had the pleasure of providing equipment and instruction to the Torbay Lifeboat Crew. Their mission was to leave their home town of Brixham at mid-night, drive to Scotland and all catch/stand-up and ride a Scottish wave. After a 10 and a half hour motorway drive I met up with the crew and after brief introductions we suited up and hit the frigded waters of the east coast. With waves of 6 to 10 feet the entire crew succsessfuly completed their stand-up mission and after a quick munch at the St Vedas hotel they hit the road back home, they arived at 2300 hours tired but happy having raised over £1850 for their charity. |
