Surfing in Scotland has been around for over three decades and is now the fastest growing water sport in the country.This dynamic and legendary sport can now be taught with the Clan Surf School.

Jamie Blair is a BSA level 2 (British Surfing Association) Accredited surf instructor with over 22 years surfing experience in Scotland and around the world. He holds the NARS Surf Coach Lifesaving certificate and is a member of the National Coaching Foundation. Also, Jamie is a fully qualified s.l.s.a. beach lifeguard.

Whether you are a first timer or want to improve your basic skills Jamie's knowledge and understanding of the sport is guaranteed to get you progressing in a safe and exciting manner.

LOCATION :
Surf trips every Sunday, May to November ,departing from Clan to an east or west location depending on swell conditions.Approx two hours journey time.

TRAVEL :
Transport to the beach and back departing from Glasgow.
THE COST IS £20 PER HEAD IN ADDITION TO ANY LESSON COST.

EQUIPMENT :

Safety is our priority hence the use of BSA approved Swell surfboards and top quality Snugg and Alder wetsuits, boots and gloves.

LESSONS :
The days surfing utilizes a free flow format to make best use of the days swell, tide and wind conditions.The lessons take the form of a half hour beach instruction followed by one to two hours of coached water time.

BOOKING :
The cost of the days course is £45 per head with a maximum group of ten per course. 16 years and under £25.00 per head. Minimum age requirement is ten years old (parental accompaniment to fourteen years).There is no maximum age requirement. Discounts for school and group bookings.

We also stock a wide range of wetsuits, from Kids sizes up to Extra large, by Alder, Snugg and Rip Curl. Custom fit suits can also be purchased through Snugg, with a manufacture time of a few weeks. In addition, we carry a selection of Fluid Juice and Bic Sport Surfboards, fcs fins and accessories, we are also able to order custom surf boards from Fluid Juice. We also offer a number of services including Surfboard and Wetsuit Repair.
